Dear Future Chartered Accountants,
The month of March 2020 was one of the very challenging period for mankind. We are part of the unfortunate generation to witness the pandemic Covid-19 and the related repercussions. Most of the countries in the world has declared lock down from March beginning.
Our ICAI has decided to postpone the exams which was scheduled in the month of May 2020 to mid-June 2020 and have also assured that, exams will not be tougher as students get more time. They shall maintain the same standard as decided before. Further, the students who are on work from home due to lock down (other than exam leave) shall be given full attendance during this period. The payment of stipend for this period is as per the discretion of the principal.
This lock down has given us an opportunity to rejuvenate ourselves and gear up well for the examinations and other audits ahead. Let’s all hope and pray for the world to heal soon. This time too shall pass. Our country will have immense opportunities awaiting due to the crisis in different parts of the world. Many of the countries will be looking forward to India for many economic relations which further will require professional guidance from CAs in various sectors.
I once again urge you all to stay home, stay safe. It is said that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! So, I hope everyone utilises this time to prepare even harder for the exams and come out with
flying colours. Jai Hind! Jai ICAI!
